An Adolescent Catholic

A teen that decides which rule of their parents they will follow and which they will not is not considered to be an obedient child. They are putting themselves in the position of authority over the parents. Dr Ray explains Catholics who decide they agree with most positions of the Church but decide there are some teachings they will not follow are like those disobedient teens. They are putting themselves in a position over the Church and ultimately God, since God is the One who bestowed authority on the Church.
