Confessing to Murder

What would a priest do is someone confessed to a murder? Does mortal sin undo our adoption by God? My son had said that it is unreasonable to expect a person with same sex attraction to be celibate for their entire life. How do I respond? and more on today's Open Line with Fr. Gerald Murray.
