The Way of the Cross for Kids

Christine, Eva, Joseph and Enrique follow the 14 Stations of the Passion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ep. 01 - The Annunciation

The children travel to experience the Annunciation of the Archangel Gabriel to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Sr. Lucia teaches the children how to pray before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and Fr. Luis teaches the children how to pray the Angelus.

Ep. 02 - Baptism

The children discover the Jordan River where they see Jesus being baptized by Saint John the Baptist. Sr. Lucia explains to the children the importance of Holy Water and how Baptism makes us children of God.

Ep. 03 - The Sacrament of Confession

Eva, Joseph, Christine, and Enrique step back into time and witness Jesus Christ giving his Apostles the power to forgive sins, recite the Act of Contrition prayer, and learn the six steps for making a good Confession.

Ep. 04 - The Holy Mass

The children travel in their minds to Calvary, witnessing Jesus on the cross. Sr. Lucia instructs them how to make a morning offering and Fr. Luis teaches the different parts of the Mass.

Ep. 05 - The Priesthood

The children witness the Last Supper, when Jesus instituted the Priesthood. Sr. Lucia teaches them special prayers for priests and Fr. Luis explains to them the important role priests play in salvation.

Ep. 06 - The Intercession of Our Mother in Heaven

The children travel to the Wedding Feast at Cana to witness the Blessed Mother's intercessory role in Jesus' first miracle. Sister Lucia then teaches them how to pray the Memorare, and Father Luis helps them to understand the Holy Scapular.

Ep. 07 - The Guardian Angels

Christine, Eva, Enrique and Joseph travel to witness the important role of angels in Sacred Scripture. Sister Lucia teaches the Guardian Angel prayer while Fr. Luis discusses with them about their Guardian Angel.

Ep. 08 - Purgatory

Christine, Eva, Enrique and Joseph witness scenes in the Old and New Testaments that show the importance of praying and offering sacrifices for the dead.

Ep. 09 - Lent

Christine, Eva, Enrique and Joseph witness the temptations of Jesus in the desert. Sister Lucia teaches the children the St. Michael prayer and Father Luis invites the children to make small sacrifices during the Lenten Season.

Ep. 10 - Christmas Special

Father Luis helps Christine, Eva, Enrique and Joseph to finish off the Nativity scene in the parish. The children travel with their imaginations to the original Bethlehem and contemplate the Birth of Jesus.

Ep. 11 - Easter

The children learn the importance of making a good confession during the Easter season in order to better receive Christ in the Eucharist.

Ep. 12 - Confirmation and Coming of the Holy Spirit

As the children learn about the Sacrament of Confirmation, they imagine what it was like when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles at Pentecost.

Ep. 13 - Giving Thanks

Fr. Luis and Sister Lucia use the story of the ten lepers healed to teach the children just how important it is to thank God for even the smallest of things.

Ep. 14 - The Pope

After they witness the scene where Jesus names Peter the first Pope, Sister Lucia and Fr. Luis encourage the children to pray for Peter's successor: the Holy Father.

Ep. 15 - The Saints

After using their imaginations to picture Jesus’ transfiguration, the children learn how to pray for St. Joseph’s intercessions and the importance of relics.

Ep. 16 - Preparing for First Communion

While preparing to receive their First Holy Communion, the children learn the importance of nourishing the soul with the Eucharist and cleansing it through confession.

Ep. 17 - My First Communion

Enrique, Joseph, and Eva prepare for Holy Communion and learn what it means to be a “grown up” in the Catholic Church.

Ep. 18 - Receiving Jesus in Holy Communion

Fr. Luis teaches Enrique and Joseph the importance of receiving Jesus in Holy Communion every Sunday through the story of Zacchaeus, the tax collector.

Ep. 19 - Corpus Christi

During the celebration of Corpus Christi, Christine and Eva pick flowers for a flower carpet while Joseph places the fruit of his apostolate at Jesus' feet.

Ep. 20 - The First Saturday For Kids

Sister Lucia teaches four children the importance of the First Saturday devotion, and the four steps necessary for fulfilling her request in this animated special.

Ep. 21 - Fatima Special - The Little Shepherds and the Angel

The children travel to see the little shepherds of Fatima, Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos, witness the Apparitions of the Angel of Portugal.

Ep. 22 - Fatima Special - The Shepherd Children and the Apparitions of Our Lady

The shepherd children Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos see the six apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Fatima, Portugal.

Ep. 23 - Fatima Special - Francisco and Consoling Jesus

The children witness the life of Blessed Francisco Marto, one of the shepherds from Fatima, and his wish to console the heart of Jesus.

Ep. 24 - Fatima Special - Jacinta and the Conversion of Sinners

The children travel to see Blessed Jacinta Marto's life and great passion for praying for the conversion of sinners.

Ep. 25 - Fatima Special - Lucia and Her Faithfulness to the Message

The children see the life of Venerable Lucia dos Santos and her great effort to record and proclaim the message of Our Lady of Fatima.

Ep. 26 - Advent

Christmas is just around the corner, but before the celebration begins, Christine, Eva, Enrique, and Joseph must prepare their hearts in the weeks leading up to it: Advent.

Ep. 27 - The Resurrection of Jesus

While celebrating Easter, Christine, Eva, Joseph, and Enrique use their imaginations to travel back to the miraculous moment Jesus is revealed to be risen from the dead.

Ep. 28 - Epiphany

Fr. Carlos and Sister Lucia teach Eva, Joseph, Christine, and Enrique about the Feast of the Epiphany, and the symbolic significance behind the Magi’s three gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Ep. 29 - Corporal Works of Mercy

Sister Lucia teaches the children about the graces that come with performing the corporal works of mercy.

Ep. 30 - Ash Wednesday

Fr. Carlos and Sister Lucia teach Eva, Joseph, Christine, and Enrique about Ash Wednesday and why Catholics practice fasting and abstinence during the Lenten Season.

Ep. 31 - The Ascension of Jesus

Sister Lucia teaches Eva, Joseph, Christine, and Enrique about Jesus’ Ascension into heaven.

Ep. 32 - The Immaculate Conception of Mary

 Eva, Joseph, Christine, and Enrique learn how Mary was conceived without original sin to be the mother of Jesus.  

Ep. 33 - All Saints

Fr. Luis teaches Christine, Eva, Enrique, and Joseph that seeking revenge is not good, and that they should imitate saints like Domingo Savio and Therese of the Child Jesus instead.

Ep. 34 - The Assumption of Mary

Father Luis and the children travel back in time to experience the Assumption of Mary into heaven, and see how this miracle is revealed in her apparitions at Fatima, Lourdes and Guadalupe.

Ep. 35 - Sacramentals

Father Luis explains the treasure of suffering and prayer, plus the basis behind three frequently used sacramentals, holy water, the sign of the cross and the rosary, that help us receive God’s grace.

Ep. 36 - Christ the King

Using their imaginations, Christine, Eva, Enrique, and Joseph remember the moment Jesus stood before Pilate, and realize they need to see people through the eyes of Christ and His infinite love.

Ep. 37 - The Church

Our children go back in time to see how Jesus founded the Church, placing Peter in charge as the rock upon which it was built. Father Luis explains why the Church is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic.

Ep. 38 - The Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Mother

In this episode, the children visit Calvary, where Jesus gave Mary to us as our mother, and learn how she can intercede for us, by traveling to Cana where Jesus performs his first miracle.

Ep. 39 - Trust in God

Today's lesson is to trust in God. He will take care of us, so we must look for something positive in bad moments as Jesus did. His suffering freed us from sin and opened the doors of heaven for us.

Ep. 40 - The Holy Mass: Origin and History

When Enrique is unjustly accused of breaking a school window, the children learn a valuable lesson about the sacrifice of Jesus, who died for our sins even though he bore no guilt. Mass is the renewal of that sacrifice.

Ep. 41 - The Holy Mass - Pt. 2: LiturgicalVestments

On Father Louis' 10th Anniversary, the children learn the significance of liturgical objects, traveling to the past to see how Noah built the first altar and Melchizedek made the first offering of bread and wine.

Ep. 42 - The Nicene Creed

Father Luis teaches the children the Nicene Creed, and how the prayer sums up everything Catholics believe. Their imagination takes them back to the first Christians who were willing to die for their beliefs.

Ep. 43 - The Bible

The children learn how the Bible is divided into books, with the coming of Jesus at its center. The Old Testament contains the preparation for Jesus' Coming, and the New Testament tells us about His life and teachings.

Ep. 44 - Eucharistic Adoration

When a famous rock singer arrives in town, Cristin and Eva are excited to see him. But they soon realize that Jesus is also with us, in the tabernacle under the form of bread, and he should be the center of our lives.

Ep. 45 - Heaven

Today, Enrique learns an important lesson about rewards. His prize for studying and passing his courses is a trip to the zoo. Similarly, heaven is the ultimate prize, our reward for living our lives as Jesus taught us.

Ep. 46 - Hell

When Enrique and Joseph have an argument, they learn a lesson in forgiveness. Being away from friends can feel like hell, but being away from God for all eternity truly is Hell. Fortunately, Jesus always forgives us when we ask for his mercy.

Ep. 47 - Original Sin

Father Luis explains the concept of original sin. Adam and Eve were deceived by the devil, losing their state of grace for all mankind. Through baptism we are made whole, but we must always be wary of temptation.
