Parable (Season 2)
Geared toward a 15-30 years of age audience, an interactive dialogue between a Franciscan priest and young adults on the parables of Jesus Christ. Each program includes a creative montage, in cinema verite style.
THE TALENTS PT. 1
From the Gospel of St. Matthew, the friars and the Alpha group reflect on the gifts God bestows upon us how we discern our true gifts, our stewardship over them, how God's gifts shape our vocations; and facing the major obstacles using our gifts.
THE TALENTS PT. 2
The friars and the Alpha group reflect on how when we reject our gifts we break trust with God even when those gifts are crosses that demand suffering.
LAMPS
Fr. Mariusz and the Omega Group discuss overcoming the darkness of sin with Christ, the Light of the World and how we can with humility and courage offer it to others.
LEAVEN
The friars and Omega reflect on the parable of St. Luke deepening their understanding of what faith is, charity as the greatest virtue, key to holiness, living at this moment, doing small things with love, confidence in God, and the role of prayer.
MUSTARD SEED
The friars and the Omega group reflect on Jesus as the seed that grows in our hearts, nourishing it to maturity, Mary's role in this seed, and the significance of small and hidden things which like seeds appear dead but contain life everlasting.
BRIDESMAIDS
The friars and the Alpha group reflect on the Gospel of St. Matthew and how time prepares us for eternity--by living each moment as if it was our last, and our encounter with Christ at judgment because of the choices we have made.
FRIEND
The friars and the Alpha group reflect on St. Luke's Gospel which deals with persistence in prayer, courage, determination, striving for virtue, enduring the dark night and receiving the Eucharist.
TREASURE AND THE PEARL
The friars and the Alpha group reflect on St. Matthew's Gospel on self-surrender, poverty, chastity, obedience, total consecration in love, and the Eucharistic Christ as treasure.
THE WICKED HUSBANDMAN, PT. 1
